MagicMeet cares about your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using the Platform, you agree to this Policy.
1. Who We Are (Data Controller)

- Send transactional emails/SMS (confirmations, reminders, support).
- Market MagicMeet to you (with opt-out options).
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
Legal bases (for GDPR/UK GDPR users): performance of a contract, legitimate interests (platform safety/marketing), consent (where required), and legal compliance.
4. Sharing Your Information
We share data with:
- Service providers (Sharetribe platform, Stripe payments, Checkr background checks, Twilio SMS/email, analytics tools) under data-processing agreements.
- Other users—only what is necessary for booking (e.g., Performer’s name/photo to parents; parent first name to Performer).
- Law enforcement or regulators when legally required or to protect rights/safety.
- Business transfers—if we merge, sell assets, or are acquired, data may transfer as part of the deal.
We do not sell personal information in the traditional sense. Where "sale" is defined broadly (e.g., under CCPA), we provide opt-out choices.
5. Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure usage. You can manage cookies in your browser; disabling some may break key features. For analytics/ads cookies, we will provide a banner or settings link where required by law.
6. Data Retention
We keep data as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, comply with tax and legal obligations, and enforce agreements. We may anonymize or aggregate data for analytics after it is no longer needed personally.
7. Security
We use industry-standard security measures (HTTPS, encryption in transit, limited access). No system is 100% secure—please protect your credentials and report any suspected breaches to us immediately.
8. Children’s Privacy
MagicMeet is intended for adults booking services for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to: access, correct, delete, restrict processing, object, withdraw consent, or portability of your data.
- Requests: Email privacy@magicmeet.app. We may verify your identity before acting.
- Marketing opt-out: Use unsubscribe links in emails or contact us.
For California residents: You have rights under the CCPA/CPRA. We honor do-not-sell/share requests via our cookie settings or by emailing us. We do not discriminate for exercising privacy rights.
For EU/UK users: You may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority if you believe we mishandled your data.
10. International Transfers
We operate in the United States. If you are outside the U.S., your data may be transferred and processed here. We use appropriate safeguards (e.g., SCCs) for international transfers where required.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be posted and take effect 14 days after posting (or immediately where required by law). Your continued use means acceptance.
